A: If you get the Zippo butane insert than yes, it does work. It just won't work for the original Zippo insert, which uses pour in lighter fluid.

A: Not very. The company only states "low in impurities". A well refined butane will clearly advertise the exact parts per million of non volatile impurity, not a meaningless ballpark guess.

A: No. This is a blend of undisclosed quantities of liquidified petroleum gases, primarily propane and butane, as well as several related hydrocarbons and impurities. The only pure butane currently on the market is Puretane brand, but pure butane is not actually what you want to refill lighters. Pure butane is generally only used for industrial or claudestine manufacturing of drugs and other chemicals. For a lighter refill you want a butane and propane blend.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. You need to refer to the instructions manual as to the type of canister and connector required and whether this product meets these parameters. Many outdoor stoves need a specific style of canister and connector and use a different style of canister when compared to this item. This product is designed to fill butane into lighters, etc. that have their our compartment for butane.

You would need to determine whether this type of butane and this style tip would work with your application as we have never tested this product for use with a green gas bb gun.

Q: Why are all the reviews within the past year, all bad reviews? Are the reviews older than a year for the old Ronson product?

A: Thank you for the inquiry. We are not sure which products are being referred to. In both cases, given the very large quantities sold annually with regards to the butane fuel, the number of negative reviews are an extremely small percentage of sales. Both products i have used personally without any problems. As always, if someone is not satisfied with the product's performance they can return it for a refund or, in our case, we are happy to send out a replacement product.
