Great low power (400 watt) unit for overnight power during outages. Have gas generator for very long outages, like ice storms, etc. that can last many days but most of the time they only last a few hours. Lights are very bright and handy. Wish it had wattage indicator but added a plugin as an alterative.

Device only stays on/providing for about 2 hours

Super simple. Small and compact. Seems to not generate any heat to worry about. I have several batteries, but purchased another 7.5 AH batterie to go either it. Purchased it specifically to provide electricity for our Christmas Tree as in our new home the best location was centered in the room, no outlets. Low capacity draw, and the high AH batterie, and yet it still shuts down somewhere around 2 - 3 hours. Simply turn the power of the Power inverter back on and it powers again. Batterie sill with plenty of charge, end up doing this several times a day as we catch the lights off. Would be a problem if trying to power something essential during a power outage. Reading through other reviews I have not seen this as an issue for people. Wonder if I have a bad device. The battery nor the Inverter are warm to the touch even when it first shuts down.

Hi there, Leo! The PAD500 will go into sleep mode after about 2 hours if the load is below 10 watts. Turning the inverter on again, will power the external device back up. If the power draw from your Christmas Tree is too low, you may need to add another external device to the inverter to push the load above 10 watts (recommended 18w) for continual use without sleep mode. Starlink Mini Power Supply

Bought this to power my Starlink Mini while off grid. Since I already have a few batteries it made the mozt sense. The power supply works great and keeps the Mini working for several hours.
