Nexus Power Station is Ego's Biggest Failure

Don't purchase this generator UNLESS you already own Ego batteries. There are much better battery generators available elsewhere. The WiFi and Bluetooth no longer connect, nor does Ego intend to fix this. The unit takes forever to recharge batteries. Overall a sad failure which was a surprise considering all other tools work as advertised and last a long time.

Absolutely does NOT hold charge

This generator is worse than portable charger. It gives 12 minutes of charge to a mini fridge. Maybe 20 minutes for a toaster oven and 15 minutes to a small space heater. All separately by the way. You can only use 1 item for 15 minutes basically. If you are trying to operate this for a food truck. Do NOT get this. Terrible mistake. Couldn’t only use this for one pot of coffee before it died on me after 8 hours of charging to 100%.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Hi Jahn! We're sorry your Nexus Power Station doesn't power your appliances for as long as you would like. Run time varies considerably depending on the amount of power being pulled by the appliances being powered. Appliances such as space heaters and toaster ovens draw considerably more power than items like lights or fans. You can also get more run time by using higher Ah batteries. Thank you for your review!

Does what I needed as a power backup

The Nexus does what I needed. It ran the frig/freezer in my kitchen as well as a 7 cubic foot chest freezer in my basement at the same time for about 13 hours. That's with the two 7.5 batteries it came with along with two batteries that came with my mower - another 7.5 and a 5.0 batteries. I ran this as a trial run for when I lose power.
I also ran a trial with my 1/3 horsepower sump pump to ensure it could run that also and it did without a problem. I might be able to power all 3 in an emergency for quite a few hours, but I did not try that.
Yes, I recommend this product.
