Q: how long does the battery last on a charge? Does the battery life decrease when you vacuum carpet? Lastly, how long does it take to charge the battery?
2 years agoA: Hello, how long the battery lasts really depends on what mode you use the vacuum in. On Eco I can get over 80 minutes of run time when on hard floors, around 50 on auto. On carpets it does decrease slightly. On eco I can get around 60 mins on carpet, about 40 on auto. When vacuuming on auto, on both carpet and hard floor, the time does fluctuate since the vacuum increases power when it detects more dirt. This setting can be disabled though if that’s a concern. To charge from 0% it takes roughly 4 hours but I usually leave it charging when not in use so that way it’s always charged when I need it. I believe you can also purchase extra batteries from Dyson if you’re looking for longer run times, doing so will essentially double your run time. Hope this helps!
