Porpane Heater Defective

The header was not good. I unit was defective and would not stay lite. I had lots of heat but was loud and didnt seen safe. the metal housing got very hot. It looked like this unit was opened and returned and put back in stock when it was defective. I returned the product and would not recommend it

I purchased this heater to heat up a tent for the purpose of keeping material thawed out for some winter cement work. First problem it is very poorly constructed, and the top is coming detached. Biggest problem it does not combust propane properly. It creates a lot of black soot and a very bad smell. The whole inside of the tent is black. It probably is making lots of carbon monoxide The igniter and the thermister get covered in soot and make it hard to light. It burns with a very yellow orange flame not a blue flame like my other heater. That is much better and will run for 2 days on a 20lbs tank . This one also consumes way more propane than it says it does possibly I just have a very defective unit, but I can’t see any way to adjust it. It runs about 12hrs on the lowest setting on a 20lbs tank.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: I am using this as a temporary heating source in a garage that I am building. The heater is being vented through the ridge vent in the roof. I wouldn't use it in a finished room.

A: Give yourself about 2 feet of clearance, should be fine.. roof id worry about.. in my opinion way to much of a heater for that application.
