Wires wrong size 16" covers

Bought two identical sets of 16" wheel covers. First set fit on my daughter's car without issues. The second exact same set had trouble right out of the box. The wires that came with it were way too small and would not install on the covers. Probably from a set of 14" or 15" covers. VERY frustrating
