The versatile 5/16 In. (7.9 mm) diameter Carving bit is made of high-grade steel for use on wood, plastic and soft metals. For use with all Dremel high-speed rotary tools, these high-speed cutters work well for detailed material removal in applications like shaping, carving, engraving, hollowing, precision cutting, grooving, slotting, inlaying, making tapered holes or freehand routing. The cylinder shape of the Carving bit allows for deep removal of material, cuts flat areas, round edges and makes stop cuts and V-cuts. The accessory tip makes flat bottom slots and grooves, flat side cuts, and makes V-cuts when held at 45-degrees.

    ABSOLUTE #1 MUST HAVE FOR WOODWORKERS

    This does not seem to be included in most kits and is the most used where wood removal is needed in places that sanding and chisels cannot work. I have many hours on mine used on tigerwood, ebony, wenge and more and it is still very sharp. Set aside and extra $10 when you make your rotary tool purchase.
