Product Details

Turn your Dremel rotary tool into a versatile sanding machine with the 430 1/4 In. (6.4 mm) Sanding Band & Drum Mandrel. A sanding drum mandrel holds a sanding band covered with aluminum oxide. Sanding bands can be used to remove finishes, remove rust from metal surfaces, or rough shape and smooth on wood, rubber, fiberglass, metal, and other soft materials. The flathead end of the wrench included in most rotary tool kits can be used to loosen or tighten the screw of the drum mandrel to secure your sanding band in place. The 430 includes one replaceable coarse 60 grit sanding band. The 430 drum mandrel is compatible with all Dremel 1/4 In. sanding bands including the 431, 438, and 446

Replacing sanding bands is too difficult

When I try to replace that sanding bands they come off easily, but the new bands don’t want to go back on the rubber part of the mandrel. Help!

Very useful tool bit

Makes quick work for sanding various surfaces. One advice… do NOT allow the bit to OVERHEAT otherwise the bit will melt. (Remember to always wear safety glasses when using a Dremel tool.)

Changing 1/4 band impossible

I cannot get the bands changed on the 1/4 inch band. They wont fully slide on even with screw removed. Not a user friendly product.
