What is wrong with the backing plate on these replacements? Original lasted over a year. Bought 2 of these and both broke on the first day. I have all Dewalt tools and it make me want to scream!!

Have only used this a handful of times and it flew off in the middle of a project. Looking at these reviews, it seems to be a very common problem which leads me to believe it’s just a defective product.

Bought a OEM replacement pad DWE64233 and it lasted for about 1/2 hour. The pad was torn apart as mentioned by many people on this review site.

Worst product Dewalt could produce!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a disgrace that a top of the line tool company even sells this. My sander no longer works bc this part failed on my sander right after my warranty expired. Thinking about changing to Milwakee after this happened.

Weak backing on pad.

I've had my sander for about 6 years Original pad last for almost the same time. Replaced 2 pads in the last 3 months due to boltholesnot reinforced. Last one lasted about 2 minutes the other day. At a standstill until I can find one with a good backing or go with something else.

A: We're sorry for not having an answer to your question. We have not tested the DWE64233 on another brand. Compatible with DWE6423/6423K, DWE6421/6421K, DCW210B random orbital sander.
