top up beauty but just ugly from the waist down

Regrettably this saw absolutely proves the adage that good/proper/stable "everything" starts with a solid foundation... From the pivot up this saw (with good blade) is ruthless power and cuts metals of varying alloys, thickness and dimension with ease - the chips can be a bit "wild" in their spread but it's a metal cutting saw, so be it. From the pivot down as many others have already explained via their experiences this saw is a disaster. The complete lack of any thickness, strength and stability of the base, fence and work holder borders on dangerous. The amount of slack and inherit weakness of the whole assembly when attempting to secure any work off 90 degrees is an adventure in to the unknown. The saw will pull cuts, attempt to spin out work and even fling objects despite best efforts to hold work and go SLOOOOWWWWLLLLYYYY... I read the reviews but decided to proceed anyways - now I'm regurgitating the same warning to others and even Dewalt if they care to listen and provide a safe and reliable solution. Then again maybe after 35 years of fabricating I'm doing it all wrong

Not worth the money

The saw cuts come out a little wavy and it was 16ga material then I tried cutting 1/2" square tubing and it kept kicking it back and the blade is a little shaky

No, I do not recommend this product.

Try a different brand!

The base is complete junk, lite weight and flex's. Over time the cheap tin base bents and creases just on the other side of cut which then makes the cut compromised. unable to hold straight cut. Check out other brand saw before purchasing paying close attention to the base and clamping.......

No, I do not recommend this product.

Cuts Metal like Butter. Straight Cuts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this saw because of the Blade, it is a Toothed Blade not the Fiber Blade and they hold up. well. I have owned this saw for approximately 8 years and have no problems with it. I have cut nurmerious pieces of steel for projects and have had great luck getting straight cuts, which makes the project do a lot easier. I was Leary of the blade, the teeth, but when I made my first cut and the blade went through the steel like butter, I was hooked on this saw. I have just changed to only my second blade, that was included with the purchase. Great Saw for Metal Work, Cuts Straight, Smooth Cuts with little burring !

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great motor, good blade, poor table.

I purchased this saw almost two years ago, it replaced my dewalt abrasive chop saw. For me it’s the better tool for the job. My only issue with the tool pertains to the table quality. The table is press formed stamped mild steel with raised and recessed channels. My table has become dented and bowed. Maybe the table should be milled cast steel. The work to be cut no longer sits flat. The angle fence is ok. The measurement scale is ok, must use a square to tram the fence to blade good practice anyways. It just so happens that the table is such an issue someone has made an upgraded unit. Saunders Machine Works has part of the solution it’s not perfect but it’s a start.

Yes, I recommend this product.
