DEWALT DCS565P1 20V MAX XR Brushless Circular Saw Kit, 6-1/2-in, 5.0Ah

Love this little saw! Have had for almost 15 years works great. Powerful and lightweight for cutting on the wall or lumber. I am mostly doing renovations when needed. I can even do rip cuts, but if I have a lot of rip cuts Ill use a larger and corded worm drive saw because you'll go through batteries fast. Its a must have in the tool bag.

Can’t even cut dried up cedar fence board with 60 volt battery.

I’ve had this tool for about a year now and it’s done an amazing job and held up through a lot of tough beatings my only complaint is it bogs down something cutting through some pressure treated wood but other than that it’s an amazing tool for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As part of a sampling community, I was excited to see the new 20 volt MAX Brushless Circular Saw by Dewalt. I have been needing a new go-to tool. Maybe, this is it! Right out of the box, the design and craftsmanship were evident. Even with a large 4,950 rpm motor, the saw was compact and balanced. A 5 AH battery was included in the kit. Now, that was cool! No having to go buy another battery to get the right size. Not this time! The blade was also included plus a rafter hook. The bottom plate had adjustments for both depth and angle of cut. I felt I was getting the right tool for the job. I decided to use the saw to cut wood for a shelf I was building. Normally, my table saw would be my go to tool. I needed to make precision cuts without damaging the wood. Pieces of quarter inch plywood were chosen for the shelf. The saw has a kerf guide at the front of the plate. The cuts were easy to make. No tear out, no splintering. Just precise cuts. It worked effortlessly. With the dust cap installed, no saw dust flew into the eyes or covered the surface being cut. All I could think was, “This saw is so nice!.” All in all, this new Dewalt saw is impressive. I give it 5 stars. And I think I have found my new go-to tool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned a 20v 6 1/2in saw for 6 years now. It built a small house and is still working flawlessly. This new xr 20v is more refined due to the cast deck instead of my old metal stamped one. Also, it is quieter but just as powerful. I haven't found anything that these saws won't cut through even with the blade completely submerged. Sure they will bog, but still get any job done.
