Battery charger quit working
The only complaint I have so far after 3 months is the battery charger quit working. Thankfully I got one battery charged before it quit. I haven't used the drill much. I don't know what I will do when my charged battery is used up. I called DeWalt and all I get is we are closed.

Perfect combination
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this combo kit for about six months and am very happy with its versatility , power and durability! I have dropped the impact drill from an 8 foot ladder and after looking at the drill, I knew I made the right purchase - not even a scratch. Solid performer and glad i got the kit with two batteries, as I can be recharging one while I keep working.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: can the dcd780 be used for masonry with the right bits?
I have purchased Titanium bits with this. I need to drill some holes in bricks and as per Max Recommended Capacities table in the manual the DCD780 section is blank for masonry. I figured with the correct bits it will work for masonry projects?

A: As this is not a hammer drill so it would be inefficient in completing the task satisfactory.
