Working radio

Bought this a couple years ago now. Sound is ok. Biggest issue I have is the volume control knob. When I try to adjust the volume down it turns it up louder or just does whatever it wants. I also find the radio stations don’t have much range compared to other radios.

Decent radio but...

I got this radio to add to my dewalt lineup. When I was looking for a radio at that time I was looking for something that had good quality sound and plong run time on battery if did not have a outlet available. But there is 1 issue that I've had since I've had this radio. The antenna when I try to get it to stand up right it will fall back down unless proped up. And the rubber casein around that antenna also started to tear down by the base near wear it attached to the radio and fell off. Other then that it's a good radio and I have been happy with my purchase.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: So, this is an expensive radio/battery charger that I have buy batteries that cost almost as much to run? The description isn't very clear.

1 Answer
  • A: If you want to run it off a battery than yes, a battery is required but it can be run off electricity. The DeWALT radio runs off both Electric & battery power so customers have 2 options. The charger function of the radio charges the DeWALT battery(s) & then can also power the radio when there is no electric power source. In this case customers would need a battery for this use.
