The DK2 Power 6 in. 14 HP Commercial Kinetic Cyclonic Chipper Shredder features electric start, dual swing chutes, 12 in. cutting blades, DOT road legal tires, and a 38 in. extended axle. The rotating load chute is pickup truck height and the engine is covered by a Commercial Command Pro 3-Year Kohler warranty. It simply works - Every time

Bought over 2 years ago. We use it regularly. Especially after Texas storms. If used correctly this chipper will out work the operator(s). Don't overfill. Hardwoods keep under 4" if fresh. Pines we have pushed the 6" a few times. Like with another review we hook it up to our ATV, Mule or Tractor, and throw a sheet over to lessen the clean up.
Should have added the hour timer. Always clean out the chute after chipping for easier start up next time out.
If you all could add a little engine so it could drive itself would be a great option.
Nothing feels better than feeding vines into the chipper and let it just eat those right up. If you overfill, or don't pre prune some branches for easier feeding into the blade then one will struggle.
Last thing - Ethanol free fuel for a clean start no matter how long machine has been sitting.

I've had mine for about 2 years and have had 2 rotor pulleys break on me. Tried getting help online and on phone but just so hard to get anyone to respond. What's going on?

It's been a workhorse.

I bought this chipper three years ago to help me deal with my heavily wooded 6 acre lot. It's been a workhorse. I have cut, limbed and chipped 224 trees to date and plan to do another couple dozen before the snow flies. Original blades in place, I'm getting ready to flip them to the reverse side. Electric start is a MUST. This is a heavy duty, well built machine. I would suggest that the kill switch at the intake be positioned a bit further away from the edge of the intake, as it gets bumped and activated easily during use, which kills the engine. I had one issue with the Kohler ignition system two years ago, which was repaired by the local dealer under warranty. I am pleased to highly recommend this machine.

Outstanding chipper

Shipped straight to my home in no time. Unpacking and setting up was not difficult, I did it myself, but it would be easier with two people as the intake and exhaust duct are quite heavy. After reading the manuals I started it up and boy does it do the job. I had several piles of brush with multiple types of wood and it chewed it all up in no time. Now the downside; the second time I went to use it it didn't turn over it was jammed up which happens but it wasn't so straightforward to clear the jam. I had to swing both ducts open then pry the cutter around with a crowbar to loosen the stuck stick causing the jam. Once unjammed and closed up it went through four more brush piles like a hot knife through warm butter. Aside from the jamming issue I love this chipper it is a beast and will clean up brush in no time flat. I think better instructions on clearing a jam would be helpful but that was the only thing preventing me from rating this baby 5 stars. Highly recommend this product.

Big chipper

Big, heavy, powerful, expensive. Went together reasonably easily except some bolt holes that didn't line up. Drill fixed that. Starts and runs and chips. Not enough hours to know for sure, but seems like a good unit.
