I recently purchased the 88x26" snowbear snowplow which is definitely not a snowbear design anymore. This is the 3rd snowbear plow I have owned and the other 2 were a great design. This plow will require you to install a front end lift kit and may need taller tires and or serious modifications to reese hitch or plow frame itself. This is due to poor design of this plow as the frame drops down from where it attaches to truck and will bottom out as it sits way to low. I gad purchased a Curt front mount hitch which is recommended and installed plow and hitch according to specs. The reason I purchased this plow is because I was hoping to avoid having to prep my truck like a commercial plow truck. Not impressed at all.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Excellent with small modifications

Have used it 3 times now, maximum snow depth 5 in. Seems heavy duty, easy to angle. Markers broke (as expected) after 2nd use. Replaced with chain saw safety markers. These will last forever. Also have to replaced (welded) swivel casters for easier maneuver (90 ° on my tight space garage). My prior Snow Bear 82 x 19 lated for 22 years with some improvements and reinforcements. Will expect this one to be as good.

Great with small modifications

Have use it 3 times now. Had only a maximum of 5 in. snow in NS this year. Would probably be able to handle up to a foot if snow. Markers broke on my second use. I installed better material markers used for chain saws. Also needed to change caster for the swivel type. The fixed casters are very difficult to maneuver and turn 90 degrees on my garage.

Horrible design don’t buy!

Do not buy this plow, their winches have constant issues, straps shred up, the design of the plow has poor alignment so it bent the hitch mount and damaged my truck frame after only one season. Poor customer service.
