Q: How do I determine what size helmet to buy my child. I don't know if the youth or child size is appropriate. Are there circumference measurements for these helmets?

A: According to the suppliers: we group the helmets according to the head circumference, which is generally more precise than the age (for example, some children of 3 years are toddlers, others of child size). Toddler 48-52cm Child 52-54cm Youth 54-58cm Adult 59-61cm.

Q: Is a snow helmet the same as a ski helmeti

A: Yes, it would be. These helmets are tested to ASTM2040, which is the specification defined as: performance requirements for helmets used in nonmotorized recreational snow sports (such as skiing, snowboarding, and other alpine sports). If the customer is looking for a “ski race” helmet, there might be other standards that racing bodies require over and above this standard. However, for standard recreational skiing, this helmet meets the appropriate standard.
