Looks great, and seems like it should be able to withstand the elements! The elevated drain hole knockout in the bottom for outdoor use is a nice touch.

Q: What is the planter made of?

A: The planter is made of plastic that's about 1/4" thick, so not all that thick. The plastic is reasonably flexible but not flimsy and not brittle.

Q: I just bought one of these and a sticker on the outside says that if planter lives outside then I need to drill holes for drainage but no indication where. Instructions are supposed to be at DCNplanstics.com but none there. Please help. Thanks!

A: Thank you for supporting our line of 100% Canadian Made Lawn & Garden Products. If you are planting for Outdoor use, you drill a hole up inside the riser located on the outside of the bottom of the planter. You then fill the planter with soil and plant material. You now simply add water from the top until excess seeps out from under the planter. This indicates that the reservoir is now full. Now when it rains or when you add water, the reservoir will be refilled, however the overflow hole you have created will not allow over-watering. The roots will grow down through the soil, through the slits in the inside saucer and into the water......thus self watering. It's that simple. NOTE: We do not advise that you drill out the riser when using indoors. Thank you. DCN

A: The Harmony Planters can be left Outside year round. It is manufactured using a Resin that contains a U.V. Treatment to resist Fading and Cracking in all types of weather.
