Poor quality

Where to begin…first bought the clear and the product was definitely white. Not white transparent, but white. I thought that it might turn clear at some point, but no. The worst was the texture of the product. It was not sticking together as silicone generally do, instead it was breaking in small lump. It was barely sticking over my ceramic sink (yes the surface was clean before applying). It did not seal at all and had to re-do it. Waist of time and money.

As indicated on the product package label and supporting product literature: DAP KWIK SEAL ULTRA (Clear) applies white and dries clear in 7-14 days (depending on joint depth, temperature and humidity)." As KWIK SEAL ULTRA is a water based (acrylic latex) formula, the sole drying mechanism is the evaporation of water. Dry time can be significantly impacted by cool or humid application conditions, application to damp surfaces, applications where air contact is limited or by thick (deep) applications of the sealant. Please note that full clarity is only achieved once all of the water contained within the product has evaporated. Regarding your commentary indicating "It was not sticking together as silicone generally do", DAP KWIK SEAL ULTRA is not a silicone based formulation. Because you did not indicate a time component in your review, it is difficult to determine if this issue was as a result of a production issue or simply related to insufficient dry time, as is almost always the case for color changing formulas. Don't purchase this product

Horrible product. Tried to seal a kitchen faucet and absolutely no adhesion to the granite countertop. Threw the tube in the garbage so total loss of my money

This is a great product for the price. The package states clear but it goes on white and takes a day to dry clear. This is very helpful because it lets you know how you did. I recommend this product.

Q: Do you have to use a caulking gun or does it come out from the tube directly?

A: Thank you for posting your inquiry on DAP Kwik Seal Ultra. All of DAP's various sized "squeeze tubes" require only hand squeezing action for application. Larger cartridges require the use of a separate application tool (caulking gun).
