Alex Flex is an acrylic-latex (water-based) formula, as such, the sole drying mechanism is the evaporation of water. Dry time can be significantly impacted by cool and/or humid application conditions, by application to damp surfaces, or by thick (deep) applications of the sealant. As is the case with all water-based products, they must be applied to dry surfaces and should be applied when humidity is low to moderate. As indicated on the product package label and supporting product literature: “Do not apply when rain or freezing temperatures are forecasted within 24 hours.
