The slots are a little shorter than our last toaster. Don’t expect to get two English muffins in this toaster at the same time. It will manage a single hefty bagel. But it covers the basics, and can produce lightly toasted-kissed to dark brown toast and everything in between.

Not Happy with Toaster

I am not pleased with the poor quality of this toaster especially for the price that I paid for it. Besides being very light weight even when pushing the lever down on the side of the toaster, I hold my breath waiting to see if it will pop when the toast is ready to the darkness that I expect. It does pop but appears 'hesitant'. I purchased Cuisinart products before and my past experience was positive, until I purchased this toaster. Not pleased with it! And to return this product, I will have to call a toll-free customer service number (too much hassle for any customer), instead of simply returning to the store. Overall, I had a very negative experience.

Q: Can I use it to bake a cooked ham slice? So I make 2 slice of toast from bread, thenI cut a slice of ham (cooked) and bake it like bread. Can I do that? I was wondering if there's any common known restrictions for toaster using. In place I came from, there's no such thing about toast.

A: I wouldn't put a slice of cooked ham into the toaster, as there is no way to clean the guides inside the toaster. Stick to bread products.
