Bought over 2 years ago. Great shooter more powerful than two other guns I have shot with that claimed to be 490 ft/ sec. Not sure why some say it doesn’t shoot well.

Q: How do you pump the rifle. What model is the gun and do you pump it or is it lever action. Do I pump it once for maximum power or do I need to do it several times.

  • A: Pump air rifles usually require more than one pump. My friend has a pump rifle, and requires around 12 pumps for a high powered shot. I recommend a break barrel. Although only being able to load one at a time, it allows you to shoot other types of ammo, ex. pointed, hollow point, destroyer, ect. A break-barrel rifle actually "breaks" half way down the barrel. By placing the hilt into your hip and pulling down on the end of the barrel, it will "break" and open up. Thus exposing the whole where the pellet is placed. After inserting the pellet, close the "break" and shoot away.

Q: Can you only put in one pellet (in the barrel) so for example: Put in one shoot it pull it down again load it an shoot again?

  • A: Break-barrel rifles are a single-load mechanism. After loading and shooting a pellet, you must re-break and once again load another pellet. Putting more than one pellet in at a time is not good for the rifle, and will defiantly reduce the life of it. Also increases the risk of jamming a pellet half way down the barrel.

Q: fps do you need a license for 495' per second

5 Answers
  • A: Anything less than 500 fps needs no pal, however I would like to see the fps limit increased as all I read is "how big of game or varmints can i kill with this" A head shot is tough and to humanely do the job with a body shot on larger varmints or game more speed is required.

Q: Will it kill skunks? I need an air rifle that will kill the skunks that are tearing up my lawn. I don't have a PAL and I need something quiet to use in town. Will this rifle work?

4 Answers
  • A: If it doesn't kill it, it'll wound it enough to scare it off. However a well placed shot will do the trick. Just remember to make sure your aimed very carefully when shooting in town.
