Unclear heat markings

I see lots of people complaining about the heat settings I & II not indicating low or medium or high. I have the same problem. But you never answer the question all you do is say you will forward to the appropriate department? Why not answer the question for the rest of us? Its also not in the manual. So can you tell me what "I" and "II" stand for? Also there is a photo of the crock pot -what does that setiing stand for?

I have owned the 4 quart oval Crockpot for just over a year and have used it maybe 6-8 times. On the weekend I used it. Lid sat at room temperature and the pot was soaking. Washed lid along with some other items in normal dishwashing manner and placed the lid to dry on a mat. About 10 mins later walked into another room hearing a big smashing sound. The lid exploded/shattered just sitting there. Had to throw out food, drying mat and spent a lot of time cleaning, continuing to find glass.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: what are the temps when on high and low? What about the temp when on warm?

3 Answers
  • A: Both the low and high settings will reach a maximum temperature of approximately 98° Celsius (209° Fahrenheit), but they cycle differently in that the low setting cycles off of that temperature more frequently. Therefore, the high setting will still cook the food in a shorter period of time than the low setting will. Please remember that these are all approximate temperatures and they can vary depending on what you are cooking. The Crock-Pot™ slow cooker can also boil on high and low. We do recommend that you always fill your slow cooker at least 2/3 to 3/4 of the way full, including at least one cup of liquid or sauce. You may have to adjust your cook times accordingly, especially if you are using older Crock-Pot™ slow cooker recipes, or adapting regular recipes for Crock-Pot™ slow cooker use. This will prevent the food from drying out and burning. (If warm is a feature of your Crock-Pot™ slow cooker, the warm setting will be between 18° and 23° Celsius or 165° and 175° Fahrenheit.)
