Destined for the landfill right out of the box!

I bought this some years ago but my wife never used it. She's since passed away and now that we go to use it, it doesn't work as it should. Won't lower from high heat and everything is overdone hours before it's supposed to be ready. If you want a slow cooker look at another brand, even the first time it was used out of the box it was junk. We've used slow cookers before and this one isn't slow. RUN!!!!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hello Bobb!
We’re sorry to hear about your experience with your Crock-Pot Digital Slow Cooker (6-qt). Here are a few tips that might help improve performance:
1. Avoid preheating on “High” for too long — start on “Low” for longer cook times.
2. Check the lid fit — a loose or warped lid can cause temperature imbalance.
3. Use the right amount of liquid — too little can cause food to cook faster than expected.
4. Avoid placing the stoneware in a cold environment right before cooking, as sudden temperature changes can affect heat regulation.

Not impressed

I usually don't have a problem with the brand crockpot, I bought this one to replace my old one that eventually died and I had for about 10 years. This one I'm not a fan, it burns the food completely when on high and cooks too fast on low, if you leave food in it on low for longer than 4 hours it starts burning, inside of it is permanently white/grey stained and I don't cook too many things in it - mainly meatballs and chili, its almost like the enamal is coming off. I have tried giving it a chance for the past 2ish years, some of the rubber feet also somehow popped off and went missing so it's also uneven when on the counter now. It takes a lot for me to not want to purchase a specific brand but I just went today to buy a different brand from this one and this experience has put me off from buying the crockpot brand unfortunately...

No, I do not recommend this product.

Not a product I would ever trust.

After a few years this product, Crock-Pot, 6qt., started to smoke and began sparking violently while in use. Luckily we were home at the time. Who knows what would’ve happened if we were not.

Q: Hi can you tell me if the stoneware has a non-stick coating? Thanks.

1 Answer
  • A: It is a fine ceramic. The lid and stoneware can be washed in the dishwasher or with hot soapy water, no abrasive cleaning compound or scouring pads. A cloth, sponge, or rubber spatula will usually remove residue. To remove water spots and other stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar

Q: What type of programming does this have, i.e. min-max hours, high low? Does it have a keep warm function?

1 Answer
  • A: This countdown slow cooker helps you organize mealtime down to the minute. Customize cook time to your schedule and then the countdown timer displays remaining time left, providing flexibility and allowing you to prepare around it. Your meal will slowly cook to perfection. Ideal for work or leisure when you want to come home to a nutritious, homemade meal. Set to cook anywhere between 30-minutes and 20-hours on HIGH or LOW temperature setting. When time is up, the slow cooker automatically shifts to WARM setting and the timer begins to count up the time it has been operating on WARM (up to 6-hours). Elegant, polished stainless steel design complements any kitchen for everyday cooking or entertaining.

Q: what happens if the power goes out for a few minutes and comes back on? Will the crockpot remember how it was programmed and continue cooking?

1 Answer
  • A: We recommend that if the power goes out and you do not know how long it was out for, you should not eat the food that was cooking in the slow cooker. The slow cooker will not remember how it was programmed and will need to be re-programmed.
