Great quality, doesn't work on windy beaches

I got this item on sale and found it to be good quality and easy to assemble.
However when I tried to use it on a pretty windy day on the beach it kept blowing away!
The sand bags and pegs weren't enough to anchor it. It needs a floor you can put heavy stuff on which it doesn't have. Still a good sun shelter for non windy days at the beach or a park.

Q: The L x W dimensions are always given…..but not the HEIGHT. I don’t want to crawl into a shelter!

A: This shelter is only about 6ft tall, probably a little under. I'm about 5' 5" and I've got 4-5 inches clearance. I have to duck a bit to go in.

A: The tent can be packed smaller than its original box. It breaks down into three separate component bags for the poles, stakes, and the tent fabric. You can fold the fabric to fit inside a large suitcase, making it convenient for travel on a plane. The poles are the most rigid component, but their length might diagonally inside most large checked luggage.

We understand that you want to know if the Coleman® Backpack Shelter, 7-ft x 7-ft is waterproof and if it can be set up outside for the entire summer. We would be delighted to answer your inquiry. Please be advised that our shelters are only rated as a sun shelter. They are not waterproof and do not provide any protection from rain. To use this as a rain shelter may result in damage to the UV protection and may cause the shelter to dry rot and this also not intended for weeks-long setup.
