I purchased these in hopes to be able to communicate within a few kilometres. The description says 56 km, it won’t even work within 1 km down a small hill.

2 way radios

a year ago

The 2 units came with all the necessary attachments including rechargeable batteries (which was great) but the biggest disappointment was the operating range. Once the line of site was not possible I was able to achieve less than 2 kilometres of talking range. Even with a line of site over water I was only able to achieve 5 kilometres, no where near the advertised range of 56 kilometres. For this reason I cannot recommend this product - not good value at all.
