Good Flashlight -- But

Wanted a reasonably powered easy to operate flashlight. Viewing in-store from behind the locked glass cabinets limits what you can see. The G55 has now been upgraded to 750 Lumens max (not 650 as shown). They advertise it on the new package as "dual power", implying recharging options, but that would require you to go out and buy your own rechargeable batteries. To change the power level, you have to either turn it on/off quickly to toggle between the levels or partially press down on the on/off button until the right choice of three levels comes up. And you have to adjust it each time you turn it on. That is a bit disappointing. The batteries are accessed by removing the back of the flashlight and letting the battery-pack (4 AAA) slide out of the light. Some folks, it seems, thought you had to unscrew the little Philips screws that hold the battery pack together (you see them as soon as you unscrew the back). But don't do that or the battery pack will fly apart. Just let it slide out. Again, this should have been made more clear to users.

Q: is it waterproof (rather than "water resistant")- can it stand being dropped in water (i.e. to use as a rescue light when boating)?
