for $10 not bad but metal is bit thin/flimsy

for $10tx, not bad purchase.
The metal is a bit thin, perhaps some type of aluminum, unsure, but the handles have that thin metal feel to it.
It does work and the potatoes came out really well.
In future, I would consider to pay $20 instead for a similar model with thicker stronger metal with a firm sturdy bulk. This one feels bit light and slightly flimsy.
I bought it online, prolly wouldn't have bought it if I saw it in person first.
But for $10, not so bad.
- This is good for now esp for low cost budget friendly short-mid term use.
* I would avoid THIS model IF you're looking for a long term use durable item esp in a large family home where you will use a ricer regularly; you should definitely look for a higher quality durable heavy duty model and just pay more for it. A ricer and potatoe smasher yield very different results, its the difference between "gummy mash potatoes" and "fluffy mash potatoes".....with potatoes you never know how much starch & stickiness you will get until its too late.

A: No it is not. It states that directly on the ricer. (Unless you want rust)
