Q: Are the smoke license plates legal in Ontario?
3 years agoA: As of November 2021, Highway Traffic Act, RSO 1990, c H.8, § 13(2)-(3). Number Plates. states that "The number plates shall not be obstructed by any device that prevents the entire number plates including the numbers from being accurately photographed using a photo-radar system." Auto Trends smoke shields have not been shown to interfere with photo-radar systems. Please check with your local authorities for any updates/specifics in your area.
