Champion’s 3-inch portable chipper shredder with included collection bag is designed to make yard work faster and easier. Powered by a 338cc Champion engine, the chipper’s steel blades handle branches up to 3 inches, while the shredder chute is perfect for shrubbery or leaves up to ½ inch or less.

Q: I'm reading branches need to be dried, that's ridiculous. how long do they need to dry??
2 years agoA: It eats up green apple branches like a snickers bar. Non stop and it has never needed more than half throtle to devour 2" fresh cut apple and mountain Ash.

Q: Does this chipper have a trailer hitch
4 years agoA: It is quite heavy; it's easy enough to move on flatter sections, but on 15% it is too hard to move by hand. My original plan was to move it around the lot to work areas, but I move the branches to it instead. Still, I'm very happy with it.

Q: Champion 338 chipper. Does canadian tire carry replacement parts for the chipper. Belts, blades ect.

4 years agoA: if you want to know how much you could chip in 1 hr probably about 4 x 4 pile 8ft to 10 ft limbs with out killing yoursellf good lluck i like my machine

Q: Regarding Champion 338 cc Chipper/Shredder 60-3793-0, previously we've chipped green freshly-cut cedar trees (8-10 ft) with a PTO driven chipper and found the result was strands of cedar fibres about 1-2 ft long. Will this machine chip rather than shred?
4 years agoA: I have used it on cedar with no issues. The chipper works great while the shredder does let some small pieces of twigs through as I expected.

10 years agoA: I used a 1 x 2" pusher stick, 30" long. Self-feed works once it's past the rubber guard.

Q: Champion 91050 3-in 338cc Gas-Powered Cordless Shredder/Chipper - How does this machine perform on tall ornamental grasses? Do they shred or just clog the machine?
2 years agoA: This machine performs best with “woody” debris….. grass can be fed in slowly, but too much, too soon will clog the blades. Best to combine grass with twigs or branches to get the best mulch job.
