I'm pleasantly surprised by the fuel consumption. Also, this model is much quieter than I expected. Finally, the inverter allows me to protect my electronic devices. Perfect for my cottage with a good price.

Q: What is the sound level in decibels?

A: Champion website says 61 dB level with ECO off which is reasonable and my finding as well. With the ECO switch on the dB level falls to a very exceptional 55-56 with low load, I find it more than acceptable. To note this is much. much quieter than any conventional generator which is generally producing a 70 dB level regardless of load.

Q: how big is gas tank?. can i run oil furnace?

A: Fuel tank holds 14 liters or 3 imperial gallons. Champion claims 20 hours run time at low load and I believe them, I can tell you mine is incredibly fuel efficient. If your furnace is 120v this unit should run it without issue. With a 3 prong L5-30P to 4 prong L14-30R adapter I run my whole house on it including a propane furnace, again 120v only.

A: This unit has an L5-30 receptacle and also comes with a L5-30 to TT-30 adapter specifically for RV's.

A: Thank you for your question. This unit is designed to operate in temperatures as low as -20°F. For colder temperatures, we recommend using 5W-30 synthetic oil for smoother operation. In the unit's operator's manual, on page 32, you will find an oil chart with the recommended oil for different temperatures. Q: Is this generator capable of plugging ino small (under 3000 Watts) home panel?

A: Thank you for your question. Yes, this unit can operate with a transfer switch. Your best option would be a 30-amp transfer switch that supports 120 volts, as that is the output this unit provides. We offer the Model 201192, which is a 30-amp, 240-volt manual transfer switch; however, please note that you would still only be able to use 120 volts from this unit. Additionally, you would need an adapter to convert your 30-amp receptacle from a 3-prong to a 4-prong, as this unit is equipped with a 3-prong receptacle. Alternatively, we recommend consulting with a licensed electrician who can advise on the best way to integrate this unit with a transfer switch you may already have or help you select the right components for your setup.
