Rototiller

The machine works well once started. First time I used it the pull rope snapped back and broke the choke off. It is not a one pull start and for someone older this is difficult. I would add photos but site wont let me

No, I do not recommend this product.

Worth the Money

i bought this tiller in June 2025, its compact, versatile and easy to maneuver within the garden space and around the plants. Starts well, good power for the toughest soils, it's a worthwhile purchase if you have a large garden which requires tilling between rows, glad I purchased it, will save hours of hand work.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great little tiller.

This is the third Tiller of this model I have purchased in the last 10 years. My kids liked it so much I have given each of them one each so this is why I had to buy another one again for myself. It is ideal for small garden plots and around bushes and flower beds. The product has been improved over the first two models with easier starting, appears to be an updated carburetor and engine ignition switch.

Q: Champion Cultivator Model #100378.Pg 17 of Owner's Manual gives steps for Idle Adjustment BUT no diagram or picture of where to find the adjustment screw!! Engine Parts List doesn't describe a part as idle screw. Where is it? I am not a mechanic.

  • A: I have had several very helpful follow up emails from Freddy at Champion. One included a photo of the idle adjustment which may be included in a newer version of the owner's manual than came with my unit.

Q: How do I adjust the depth for tilling the garden?

2 Answers
  • A: You adjust the depth by turning the transport wheel/depth assembly upside down and adjust to depth that you want. You can even use it without the wheel/depth assembly. It mentions this on page 15 and 16 in your manual. This is not a heavy duty tiller but is great for smaller gardens.

Q: Can this machine be used as tiller?

2 Answers
  • A: Cultivators are smaller and easier to maneuver than tillers. A cultivator is good for loosening the soil in an existing planting area, weeding the area during the growing season or mixing compost into the soil. Tillers are more powerful than cultivators and have larger, heavy-duty tines that work the soil.
