This premium-grade oil is specially formulated to provide exceptional protection and lubrication, ensuring smooth operation and prolonging the life of your hydraulic equipment. It protects farm, construction, and industrial equipment from wear and rust. The AW68 hydraulic oil is compatible with seals, most paints, and other mineral oil hydraulic fluids and suitable for use with most hydraulic pumps (not for use in pumps with silver bearings). This hydraulic oil 68 provides excellent anti-oxidation performance and good rust protection, in fact, 38% better corrosion protection than other ordinary market options. It features a -9 degree minimum start-up temperature and up to 5,000 hours of service life. Additionally, the oil meets ISO 11158 for general-purpose hydraulic systems.

Q: Can this oil be used in an electric air compressor calling for ISO 68 compressor oil?

A: The information provided does not indicate the required specifications of the air compressor. Air compressors are generally of 2 types: reciprocating (piston type) and rotary (screw type) and associated lubrication also varies accordingly. Please have the customer provide lubricant specifications as provided by the manufacturer or equipment detailed information which will help us retrieve lubrication requirements.

Q: I want to know if MotoMaster AW68 Hydraulic Oil is compatible with what I require? I need an oil that is rated CC100 as per ISO 3498, has a viscosity class of SAE 30, and a viscosity of 100mm2/s at 40 degrees celsius. Is this MotoMaster AW68 Hydraulic Oil compatible? If not, could you make a recommendation? Thank you.

A: We would respectfully recommend that you NOT use the MotoMaster Hydraulic AW 68, per your requirements. First, the viscosity is not correct – the Hydraulic AW 68 is thinner than the product that you want (the AW 68 has 68 mm2/s at 40C, as opposed to the 100 mm2/s viscosity that you are looking for). Second, the ISO 3498 ISO Standard appears to be a standard that is applicable to “slideway oils”…not necessarily Anti-Wear Hydraulic oils (i.e. the MotoMaster Hydraulic AW 68 is not classified as a slideway oil).
