I used this for my tires. It was very slow, not 6 minutes. It also read low on the gage. The connector to plug it into the car, was very big, compared to other connectors I use and had to be pushed very hard to get it to go in. I almost gave up and returned it.

It is a slow compressor, for the price I wouldn't buy again. Other stores have a much better pump rate when you look at the $50 to $75 dollar price range

Q: How is this for bicycle tires... can both be done in 6 minutes... if there is a time limit, is this rechargeable if it only lasts 6 minutes and how?

A: It would take 1-2 minutes to inflate a bicycle tire. This compressor requires a 12V DC power source. When ready to use, plug into the cigarette lighter plug with the car running. Duty Cycle for this inflator: 10 minutes of rest for every 10 minutes of continuous operation.
