I was told it would work as a breaker bar too loosen some stuck bolts. There’s so much flex in the bar that I gave up to avoid injury.

The quality is ok, made for occasional home use. Good for if you want the tourque to be close. Buy the higher end ones if you want exact measurements and/or use the tool a lot.

Great bang for the buck

Have been using this torque wrench for almost a decade now. Was surprised to see it lowly rated. Fantastic bang for the buck and I appreciate seeing the torque increase so I can creep up on it properly.

Q: I know you're not supposed to loosen lug nuts with a torque wrench, but does the warning on the packaging of this item mean you're not supposed to tighten lug nuts with this beam-type torque wrench either?

  • A: No that’s what it’s for tightening to the right tourque. If you happen to need to loosen the hardware use the usual wrenches to do this. Good Luck
