    Complete Disaster

Bought this bike two years ago and it has been nothing but a nightmare. For the price, you would think this product would hold itself together and provide safe & reliability riding for at least a while. Day one I could tell I made a mistake buying this. This bike has a major bottom braket and crank issue. I've spent 100s repairing this thing and it just keeps falling about. Incredibly disappointed. Go for the real bike brands, not CCM.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Nice looking bike, poor customer service/support.

Front and rear derailleur cables were both frayed. Manager said there was nothing she could do! Gears would not shift properly. Front and rear tires were flat. Purchased the bike and as per associate instructions left at the store and was promised the gears would be tuned up and tires would be properly inflated and to return next day to pick up. Next day was notified the bike was ready for pick up. Nothing was done, not even the tires inflated properly. Someone put a piece of electrical tape on the end of the rear gear cable. Both cables remained frayed at the derailleurs. When I inquired at 2 other Canadian tire stores about a tune up, I relayed my experience with the store I purchased the bike from and was told by both managers that they would have not let the bike out of the store until all the problems were resolved. Until now I still am having gear issues. Can’t really give a better review because the bike is not functioning properly. I guess I’ll have to take it to a professional bike shop, hopefully they’ll be able to fix it. Too bad Canadian tire doesn’t have proper bike mechanics.

Great Beginners bike, Not good for heavy riding

Pleased with this time for the last 6 months. After about 500kms of so, I need to replace the headset bearings which have been destroyed. Good for casual riding. Not good for heavy riding off jumps and high speed over bumps.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: My Crank-set is shaking and feels uneven while riding. Technician says the crank-set needs to be replaced. The part is in back order and will not be available until August. Can I have the part number, so I can order it myself?

Q: Is it safe to raise the handle bars on the CCM Vector 700c road bike?

    • A: I raised my handles the past weekend and took a 20k ride. It’s perfect. You can do it yourself. Cheap and easy fix. Posture is a lot better with the handles raised.

Q: Can you adjust the height of the handlebars?

    • A: Yes - but a bike shop should do it. Center bearing is in the post between the handle bars and it must be unscrewed resulting in the bearing no longer at its proper strength.
