Platform-style rack is easy to load and unload with a low deck height and is the most safe and secure option for transporting bicycles
Mount up to 2 bicycles safely and securely with the centre post and integrated foam-padded ratcheting hooks
Fully-adjustable top-tube hooks and wheel trays fit snug with almost all bicycle geometry and sizes
Centre post folds down (when not in use) for easy trunk access

Horrible design

Terrible design. Wheel cups do not stay in place, my bike fell off because of driving on a gravel road. The middle bar with the clamps is terrible too. It has fallen down not once but twice. I have two relatively expensive mtbs and they have both fallen off on different occasions. Would not recommend at all.

Q: How long a bike will this accommodate? The wheels would be needing support about 52 " apart. overall length of bike 80"

A: My bike wheels are 43” Centre to Centre. Given how much room I have to expand the position of the wheel chocks I would say the max would be about 51”. So 52” May work as there is a bit of slop in the fit.

Q: It says it will fit a class 2 hitch or higher. We have a class 1 hitch with a 1-1/4" adapter. Would it work if we buy a 2" adapter for this rack?

A: This rack fits a class 1 receiver without adding any parts but in very limited in weight capability. Generally speaking, it is recommended to carry bike racks limited to 2 bikes with a total weight of less than 100pds.

A: Good question…i have no idea but i can say that it is as solid as the thule…i took both out of the boxes and compared the metal of each, same thing…as long as you have a trailer hitch you are good to go…it is solid and it locks

Q: Is this supposed to work with a class 1 hitch? I had a class 1 hitch (1-1/4" receiver) installed on my '08 Lancer and the rack does not slide into the hitch receiver far enough for the bolt holes to line up (hits the stop tab inside the receiver).

A: After doing some research and trying multiple products, this CCM hitch rack is NOT compatible with a Class 1 hitch. It is Class 2 or higher only. If you are looking for a 2 bike platform rack, the Thule Doubletrack 990XT is compatible with Class 1 hitches.
