Seems to be a fine bicycle and we got it at a great clearance price. We won't be riding it until the spring so I can't speak to function yet. However, it clearly was not assembled well (loose bolts and wires) at the store and the tires came flat. No one offered to adjust this at time of purchase and when I asked about maintenance on a return visit they told me it wasn't done in store but outsourced, so maintenance wasn't available. This was disappointing. I should be able to purchase a bike that is ready to ride. I would be more upset by this if I had paid full price.

Q: What are the widest tires that this bicycle will accommodate? I know they are a 27.5 inch diameter and I believe they're a 2 inch wide tire....how much wider can one go for tire width?

Q: CCM FS Sector Hardtail Mountain Bike, 21-Speed, 27.5-in. I recently purchased this bike and had it assembled. I can't tell if a dry lube was put on the chain or not. Also is there grease in the bottom bracket and hubs?

A: Yes the bottom brackets and hubs come with grease inside from the factory. In regards to the chain, this is part of regular bicycle maintenance. It is recommend that the rider lubricate the chain before the first ride, after it has rained on the bike, after cleaning, after a muddy off-road ride (after cleaning) or after about 250 km in normal conditions.Chain should be lubricated with a specific bike chain oil, chain wax or Teflon based lubricant (don't use grease). It is best to own a couple different products to use based on different weather conditions. For more information on how to lubricate the chain please see the owners manual section "basic maintenance"

Q: Will it fit a u lock mounted on the bike

A: Depending on the size of the U lock and the mounting kit provided with the lock, this bike should fit a U lock. There is 9.5" of space between the top of the front derailleur and the bottom of the top tube.
