Patio Awning - 12' Wide
a month ago
The awning is great but the mounting hardware being the expanding bolt anchors are too loose using a 9/16" drill bit and too tight using 1/2" The instructions call for a 14mm drill bit which doesn't exist where I shop so the anchors pulled right out. Once I made my own anchors everything was fine.

This awning is not made to withstand strong winds, heavy rain, storms, or frosty conditions. If the wind is above Beaufort Scale 5 km/h, please close the awning to avoid serious injury. A: Hello Lous, the setscrews supplied are intended for concrete walls or ceilings. If you intend to attach the awning to other materials, other fasteners are required accordingly. Please make sure fasteners for other material installation have the same or above strength compared to the provided expansion bolts for concrete surface installation.

Q: How much total height is required assuming you install at 8' height. Need to know how much clearance is required.

A: Hello, the recommended installation height is 8' – 10’ (2.4 – 3.1 m). The ideal drop angle (when fully extended) has already been set by the factory, so you may not need to change the pitch/angle. Calculations: You can use the following formula to calculate the appropriate angle. C = A + 0.17*L A = The desired height of front bar L = The length of the extended arm C= The height of the wall brackets
