Could not open battery compartment

I bought this yesterday so excited to use it on my balcony. I could not open the battery compartment to put batteries inside! I read similar reviews, all the screws are stripped and were screwed in way too tight! Could never open the compartment despite using all sorts of screws (flat and cross) and trying for almost an hour! Returning and buying a similar product from a different manufacturer. Avoid

Q: Hi ... My colour changing ball comes on automatically every evening , even if I have shut it off with the remote the night before. Is this normal? It is not mentioned in the instruction manual . Can that feature be shut off if needed ( as in vacation)

A: The remote shuts ours off. But you can always remove the batteries, you just need a small screw driver.
