    Very old model

I had ordered this fan online as a clearance deal. I was given an even older model, that looks nothing like the picture and is louder. I don’t want a fan that was discontinued 10 years ago. I will be returning it. Such a hassle. Website needs to be updated. Do better Canadian Tire.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Brian bathroom fan

We bought three fans and returned one because the Sone rating was 3 which means is rather noisy and we wanted quiet. This fan runs quietly 1.5 sone and moves a lot of air. Happy with the purchase.

Q: What duct size my duct is 6 inche

    1 Answer
    • A: AER110C requires 4" duct. 6" is ok to use - you'll need to use an adaptor to take your 6" duct down to the 4" connector on the fan. Bigger is always ok. You just can't go smaller than what is needed, as then there would be issues.

Q: can use it to remove smoke fume from the room

    1 Answer
    • A: This model is designed to be a bathroom fan. It is for residential use. It can be used in other rooms, to exhaust stale air (such as a family room or den); and it will exhaust cigarette smoke. However, it is not approved for kitchen use, nor garage use.

Q: Is this fan compatible wit the DX90 series? I have installed a -Broan 90 CFM Deluxe Bath Fan- but I am thinking to update to a 110 CFM fan. Is this fan compatible with the installation I currently have in my bathroom? (duct+electric wise?)

    1 Answer
    • A: It depends on the size of your current fan. Specs on this one are as follows: • 4" duct connector • CUL and UL listed for use over tub/shower with GFCI circuit • 11-1/4" x 10-3/8" x 7-5/8" housing fits 2" x 8" construction • Grille Dimension 13" x 14"

Q: can this fan be used in a small pantry/kitchenette, in which water is boiled, but not full meals are prepared?

    1 Answer
    • A: Bathroom exhaust fans are not designed for this function and thus is not recommended. We do sell a smaller 24” size rangehood (52-2838) specifically designed for installation in smaller spaces that might be a better option.

Q: Can this fan be mounted on a two by four truss

    1 Answer
    • A: The model in question is made for 2X8 construction due to the housing size being 7 5/8 in depth. This unit is screwed directly from housing into the joists they do not have enough room with a 2X4 construction. We cannot guarantee the outcome of such an installation as these units are not tested in such an application. We would not recommend this installation. It would void the warranty as the unit was not installed as per our recommendation.

Q: in the pic the exhaust venting is from the side. can the exhaust vent be repositioned thro the top?

    1 Answer
    • A: You would need to use a 90 degree elbow in the duct run prior to exiting the home or 2x 45’s creating an “S” like pattern. Best to install the elbow 3-4 ft from the unit to keep CFM power, using the elbow (s) earlier could result in up to 40% loss of CFM power.
