Easy to use. Gets through the pump with one quickly press of the button. I give the pump a few revolutions and give it another shot. Easier to use than the squeeze bottle type.

Q: Is this Pump Saver the oil I use when I change the oil on my pressure washer pump? I don't have a need for antifreeze as I store my machine inside. Do I just use this oil and then the machine is ready to go?

A: No. This pump saver is attached to the water inlet and runs through the pump until it comes out of the hose. This helps prevent corrosion inside the pump.

Q: Is it normal for this to travel through the (electric) pressure washer almost instantly (and shoot out the output hose connector)? Although somewhat foamy, it was also runnier than I was expecting.

A: Yes, it's normal. The volume inside the pump is small and is partially filled with water. When the pump saver rushes in, it will mix with the water and push the mixture out immediately. What comes out first is more water than pump saver, but quickly shifts to just pump saver.

Q: In Victoria BC, our winter temperatures bottom out at about 3 degrees C. We get snow on perhaps 2-3 days each year, although occasionally we have snow stay on the ground for a week or so. Is this product necessary under these conditions?

A: Yes, we would still recommend Pump Saver be used. Besides protecting the unit in the event of an unexpected freeze, Pump Saver can lubricate and rid the pump of standing water which could leave build up of scaling, especially in areas of hard water.

Q: There are 2 questions posed here regarding whether you can use this product on an electric pressure washer. One answer says, "yes, you can" while the other says, " no, you can't". So which is it?

A: You can. Make sure pressure washer is turned OFF and inlet and outlet hoses are disconnected. Read and follow all instructions and warnings given on the Pump Saver container. On units that outlet hose cannot be disconnected, squeeze the trigger on the gun to allow flow.

A: This product is designed to prepare the pressure washer to be stored in below freezing temperatures, even to -40. The product forces water out of the pump and coats the inside with a coat of lubricant.
