Briggs & Stratton 2-Stage Gas Snowblower with Electric Start, 306cc, 27-in

So far after using it a few times it has been excellent with lots of snow, seriously throws it pretty far, wet heavy stuff easy to move.

So I live in Newfoundland and needed a powerful snowblower for the wet heavy snow we always tend to get. First off let me just point out that I searched many hours (in-store and online) for a machine that would meet my needs,and Briggs and Stratton 306cc was my best bet without breaking the bank. This Snowblower has great power but also takes some getting use to as it has steering triggers,I do recommend this Snowblower but if you purchase keep in mind that, 1 you may or may not need to add oil so check before first start,2 once oil is added let the machine run for 5 to ten minutes before use and 3 make sure before first use you take time to make sure all nuts,bolts or screws are tightened. As for reviews stating that the shear pin break easy,I've used the snowblower 4 times since purchased and went through heavy/wet snow to eating ice chunks left at the end of my driveway from the plow without any issues,also I shortened up the pullcord by about 8 inches.hope this review helps

Although I haven't blown snow with it yet, this machine looks very well made, starts super easy, runs smoothly, and is easy to operate. Assembly: Lost one star for Assembly. Instructions are simple but thorough. But-- there is an oil port plug missing; I've covered the hole with a rubber cap for now and made a warrantee request for the part. Also, the metal retainer that the chute control cable bolts to had too small a hole for the cable. I had to enlarge it with an angle grinder to get the cable to fit. Works fine once modified. Construction: The only plastic parts on this machine are the gas tank and some covers, all parts with any stress are metal. Other brands have some plastic parts, such as the snow chute collar, which can crack if rocks go through. None of that on this machine. Starting: Easy electric start, but it pulls so easily with its very effective compression release that I don't bother plugging it in for the electric start. It's never needed more than one pull, even when I forgot to choke it, or left the throttle on idle. Nice touches: Handlebar warmers, one-hand control, multi-speed forward and reverse, gas shut-off valve to run the carb dry for storage

Had it assembled at Canadian Tire and brought it home. I put gas in it and checked oil , Primmed the fuel and pulled the start cord and it started first pull , Warmed it up and then proceeded to work it for 1 hour of continuous work, It is a great workhorse snowblower, easy to steer, great forward and reverse control, and headlights work great, My hands don't get cold with the hand warmers turned on. Overall I have used this snowblower for 6 hours and it working great in deep snow, the engine pulls through it no problem. I would recommened This unit to everyone it is easy to use.
