Check for oil stained box before purchasing

Everything went well as far s the assembly BUT the inside of the box was totally OIL SOLKED and I had to buy oil to top off the motor even though the instructions said oil included (in the engine). Somehow, most of the oil leaked out.

j'en ai acheté une vlà 3 ans elle fonctionne bien mais mon câble pour la chute a fait défaut et ct n'ont jamais pus m'en avoir un donc je suis allé chez 3 différent réparateur et ils n'ont pas été capable d'avoir la pièce originale,1 seul réparateur a pus me donné 1 câble d'une Honda qui a fonctionné 🫤

Je me suis procuré cette souffleuse au début de l’hiver dernier. Elle travaille super bien. Lorsque j’ai voulu faire le service en préparation pour l’hiver prochain, j’ai constaté que le manuel d’entretien n’est pas celui pour cette souffleuse.

Do not buy

Do not buy! Very poor quality. Multiple service issues. Called 800 line…. The multiple service companies in Gravenhurst and Orillia they sent me will not work on the product due to quality. Each told me they have informed the company using Briggs and Stratton name under license not to send customers to them. Reaching out now to Canadian Tire for assistance.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Good Blower, lots of power, good traction

This snow blower replaces a 2019 Yardworks 24" model that suffered severe damage to the auger gear box. This blower has large diameter wheels with deep treads giving it better traction. The snow chute direction adjuster is a bit stiff to turn with one hand. The steering levers are a little close to the hand grips when wearing mittens. It has lots of power and throws the snow a good distance, although I've only used it in powdery snow. So far I like it.

Q: is there any ajustment to make the above unit go slower other than 1st gear and thottle..it moves way to fast for heavy snow and wants to crawl on top of it making it take many multible passess to do job.my old one had 6 gears also and 1st was very slow

A: No it doesn't come assembled , it took me about an hour to assemble. The handle and all the cables that attach to it require to be installed and the snow chute. You would have to contact your local Canadian tire store to see if they would assemble and what the cost would be.

A: There is NO switch......There is wiring on the side of the snowblower so maybe the wiring has disconnected??? Just follow the wire from the headlamp to the connection and see what you can find......There should be another wire where the 2 just plug into each other

A: Generally yes, the recoil allows manual start where electric connection is not available. It’s best to check the particular unit. The B&S units are very easy starting even in very cold weather so recoil is as convenient as electric.
