Excellent in all conditions

Starts easy with the pull cord and choke applied. Works great for both fresh snow and the snow left at the end of the driveway. I live in Waterloo, Ontario, and so far cuts easy through 6-8”. Prefer over a 2 stage blower just for ease of handling. Almost like using a lawnmower.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Looking for a small powerful unit to move the snow off driveway without shoveling. Or starting the 13hp 30 inch dual stage blower. Love the electric start and shoot has a rod to turn the desire to blow from the handle bar. Ease to but together.

Ripoff

Paddles wore out after 1/2 a season and replacements cost over $200. What a ripoff. Would have bought a different machine if I knew how much the wear parts cost

No, I do not recommend this product.

Bought this 2 weeks ago. Used it once and it ran beautifully. Great power, ran smoothly, blew snow quite a distance off my laneway. If it continues to work this easily I'll be happy. No complaints with first ust.

Questions

Q: How do you lower the scraper plate so that snow doesn’t blow back to your feet ?

3 Answers
  • A: You don't. You have 3 things designed to wear together. Rubber paddles, side wear plates and scraper bar. Replacing one of the 3 throws the other 2 out of sync. If you do replace the bar know that you just installed a high point that will need to wear down from use before everything can synchronize again. If the machine is throwing snow underneath on a smooth surface you have no choice. Anything else is unavoidable due to it being single stage on uneven surfaces.

Q: A significant freezing rainstorm hit us, and the large ice bank on our driveway was ploughed by municipal snow. Can that kind of ice be cleared?

  • A: I was really impressed with how this machine handled the piles left by the snow plow on my driveway even after it had been rained on for most of a day. I didn't expect it to be able to throw that heavy of snow but it handled it no problems at all!

Q: Can it be used on composite decks without damaging it too?

  • A: Yes it will damage composite deck. It will leave light scrapes and black marks wherever it goes. I had to purchase skid plates and modify the blower to raise it so that the auger doesn't touch the deck.
