We had water suddenly appear in the basement. After investigation we found when we had a shower, the water would come up through the basement drain. Bought this sewer rod, 40 foot. opened the clean out port and ran this through to unclog the sewer pipe going out of the house. Possible FATBERG issue. Worked great!!
The only issue we had was the rod will come right out of the winding case if you go too far. Then it is an issue getting it back in. Should be a stop on this rod so it will not come all of the way out. Other than that it worked great saving us a lot of money.

Works as intended. Way easier to manage than the coil spring types in my opinion. It's not flexible enough to do sharp corners though, so keep this in mind.

Too stiff to go around corners.

There is an issue with this tool. It doesn't seam to want to go around the bends in piping. It would not go down the floor drain or down the cleanouts. My house was built in the mid 70's and other sewer snakes go down the piping, but this would come to a stop at the first bend. No good at all.
