A: You cannot hang it and it is too wide to sit on a standard windowsill. I would not recommend it.

Q: Can I paint this planter box? My mom really wants red.

A: I have spray painted these with matte-finish Tremclad. It lasted nicely for about two years and then began to peel. Next time I would also use a primer. The cost of paint and primer is about the same each as the cost of the planter, so basically this triples the cost.
