Worked fine at first, but then it siezed up and broke less than six months after I bought it! Next mixer I get will be Kitchen Aid!!

Want to give it five stars but can't due to the way the beaters need to be ejected. My husband even had a hard time rejecting the beaters. Manufacturer's need to keep in mind people may have limited strength issues and where this ejection takes place is beyond convenient. I love the turbo speed. The beaters could be more self cleaning than what they are. I find the beaters leave a significant amount of batter on them.

Q: I would like to know if there is a low speed to start out because I've tried two other mixers and they all start so fast that your flour etc. flies everywhere.

A: It is a little fast. To prevent the flour from flying out, I stir it up a bit first, until it’s moistened. I hope this helps.

Q: I'm using these for candy making - beating fudge. How high a temperature will these nylon beaters withstand before they melt?

Q: What size length is the beater once attached? Or what length is the actual beater on it's own.
