Worst "toaster" ever! Stay away.

I had this toaster for maybe 3 months...it never really toasted bread slices very well even at the highest temperature setting. For the past few days, in addition to doing a terrible job of toasting, it began to burn one of the 2 slices, but only on 1 side! I will be taking it to the dead electronics section. of the local recycling center. Will never buy Black and Decker again.

This was a Christmas present. Went to use it on Boxing Day, and after two pieces of toast it does not work. The lever will not stay down. We tried everything. We will be returning for a refund or replacement.

Don't Buy This

I bought this toaster to replace a budget friendly 10 years old one that had no longer toaster evenly. This thing right out of the box was worse than the one I was replacing it with. The toaster will burn the breads outer edges and leave the center relatively untouched. If you turn up the dial a bit it will burn the entire bread surface. I bought it on sale but now see it's $40. DO NOT spend your hard earned money on this thing. I will be buying something different.
