Good sander, but you cannot get replacement pad
a day ago
This is my 2nd B&D Orbital Sander I have bought over the last 10 years.
Tried to get a replacement pad for the sander BDERO600 and CANNOT find one that fits.
From center to center of the screw holes it is 1 1/8" but any for sale are all 1 1/4". Therefore I will be tossing this sander and looking for a different brand to buy.
In case you are wondering the BDERO100 has the same problem.

Good value for money - can't go wrong.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and have used it to sand down an entire dining table. It's been great - easy to use and rather efficient. My only complaint is the dust bag - it's useless. On the plus side, I have connected my vacuum hose which has worked wonders in terms of keep dust from making a big mess. Would 100% buy again given the low price and I am just doing some DIY work at home.

A: It can be yes. The type of sand paper you want to use will vary based on age of paint, type of paint etc, etc. If you need to remove the surface completely you may want to look at a belt sander. Really, it depends on the application. But yes, this sander will work for paint removal.
