vacuum dead after 15 hours use

I have used this steam cleaner to do standard carpet and clean my car a couple times. I had the last version of the vacuum that lasted nearly 15 years. This one worked better but one day just started burning internally, smoke came out the top, I shut it off. checked to see if something was jammed in the rollers, but it was fine. took the belt off the rollers so it was just the motor, turned on and more smoke. its done
No, I do not recommend this product.

Very disappointed

I bought this upright carpet cleaner a week ago. Very disappointed with it. It is very heavy, hard to push on the carpet. It takes forever to do the carpet,. It says to move 8” in 8 seconds. It took me two days to clean my basement carpet. It didn’t take the water out of the carpet like it said it would. I had to use fans to dry the carpet.
The hose to use on the stair that has 12 steps is only long enough to do 8 steps. Then you have to carry the heavy vacuum up to the top of the stairs to finish the job. The dirty water container stops filling after it’s quarter full. Both the clean and dirty water container should be able to dump at the same time.
This is not a 5 star carpet cleaner by any means!!

We had the previous model for years, this model is superior to it, better suction and better design. It can now go easily under the bed etc.

So far so good! Not too heavy, easy to use, cleans carpets and stubborn stains great, sucks up the dirty water very well, just have to take your time so drying will be faster. Have only used for two weeks now but did a fabulous job on living room furniture and carpets. Pleased with this purchase, wish I'd have bought one sooner !

By far the best carpet shampoo machine I have ever owned. It removed several long standing stains that other machines couldn’t. I wish it had a large dirty water container as you need to empty it twice for every gallon of cleaning solution. But it works great. .

Q: The product name is Proheat 2X.Does the machine heat the water or just uses hot water manually poured in tank?

A: It won't heat up cold water for you - BUT the hot water you put in is supposed to be kept hot. Not terribly certain if it does ... however, it does do a good job! My one complaint is that my old machine kept solution separate from the water tank and would mix/use only what you need at the time. By having to mix all the water with this model, if there is some left over, you would have to empty and heat up next time.

A: The machine does an awesome job! My only reservation would be the size of the tank. The older models had a much bigger tank. If you don't mind refilling and emptying fairly often on bigger rooms, then I'd say, go for it.

A: It depends what setting you have it on. There is are 3 settings that indicate how deep you want it to clean. The express setting doesn't take long to dry, but the deepest clean will take a few hours to dry.

Q: I just did my carpeted stairs using the hose, very little dirty water went in the tank and the spin brush part is leaking a pool of water on my floor. What am I doing wrong?

A: Darshan, this machine could be used on area rugs if they are safe to deep clean. It's not meant for dry vacuuming and won't work well for that purpose as it's a carpet cleaner.
